Sheila Y. Oliver Civic Association Will Host Inaugural Legacy Brunch Celebrating Women's Empowerment and Leadership


Event Will Honor Eleven Inspiring Women Leaders, Celebrate the Life and Legacy of the Late Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver and Support the Organization’s Mission of Empowering Underserved Communities 


NEWARK, NJ  - The Sheila Y. Oliver Civic Association is thrilled to announce the esteemed honorees and keynote speaker for the inaugural Sheila Y. Oliver Legacy Brunch, taking place on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the prestigious Valley Regency in Clifton, New Jersey. This landmark event will commemorate the extraordinary life and enduring legacy of the late Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver, while paying tribute to trailblazing women across New Jersey who have shattered barriers and paved the way for others to succeed.

The Sheila Y. Oliver Legacy Brunch promises to be a day filled with celebration, fellowship, engagement, and inspiration. Attendees can anticipate a captivating keynote address from Michellene Davis, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Medical Fellowships, Inc., electrifying live entertainment, an exclusive VIP reception, and a heartfelt memorial dedicated to the indelible impact of Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver. The date of the event was chosen to take place around Lt. Governor Oliver’s birthday (July 14) and the first anniversary since her passing (August 1, 2023).
